I might not have the most insightful thought of the meaning, but I think she figured out that one of her friends really wasn't her friend. Perhaps this friend was using her for fame or money or she talked down to Norah alot. Haven't we all had friends like that?

My favorite from her album, just about. Sounds to me like an old lover; with whom she had an quarrelsome relationship. Seems the guy hurt her emotionally by not supporting her, and maybe got a little physical. "I'll be okay, 'cause when I back away I'm gonna keep the handle of my gun inside," tells a good portion. Well...Norah is pretty southern, so 'I am Woman hear me roar' sounds about right.

could anyone plz tell me what does this song really mean? is is a break up song? for friend or lover? or it is just a song telling someone that she cant pretend that he is her friend anymore coz she found out that she love him.
