I liked the Vivian Campbell and Vandenberg lineup live. Liked John Sykes on the records. I've always loved Sykes wide slow vibrato and he sings as well as Coverdale.

Yeah that's sort of true. I mean Vai sounded AWESOME with whitesnake but the problem I think is that I mean..VAi in any band is weird..because he's Steve Vai..he's bigger than most bands haha. He's TOO good of a guitarist for a band. It's like, Eddie van halen, warren de martini, jake e lee, reb beach, etc etc, they are all GREAT but they fit into a band. Steve Vai on the other hand is way beyond even those guys so..being in a band is just wierd for him.
