Cont'd...Again I respect both guys as actors but after listening to this one more time I still love Michael and Sarah singing this together much more. Plus if Mike wasn't an awesome actor he would never have won a ton of awards for this.

Nothing against Butler but after listening to this Michael is a far better Phantom. Butlers an okay actor but I saw Michael in the role and GB in the film and I would pay anything to see MC again. I just felt far more passion and a deepness to the character when watching MC. Plus Michaels voice is so seductive, haunting, mysterious and sensual that the reaction from the women in the live audience was beyond description. Michael brought a sexiness to the character that wasn't there before.

I thought Gerry ROCKED as the Phantom. I read an article one time where Andrew Lloyd Webber wanted someone with a more Rock and Roll voice to sing the Phantoms parts thats why they got Butler.

The Japanese subtitles bother me, lol. As for this Gerry/Michael debate, I'd have to vote for Michael's voice. Gerard is crazy hawt, though. :]
