userone of my favorites. i think i only have the vhs of this documentary..somewhere! damn, the lyrics of this song are so deep, and to this day are always running in the back of my head. i always wondered if the "phone call" he refers to during the song has anything to do with wanting to get the band back together after that hiatus they had in the early 90's...anyhow, thanks for sharing.

Bruce is easily the Greatest writer of song lyrics ever.This song proves it with depth and meaning.Bruce knows he is hitting an emotional nerve.Even if you don't follow Springsteen's music you have to stand in awe,in awe of these lyrics.Simply put, the day to day grind of making a living and the constant struggle.He is an incredible talent.
