user Arguing about the existence of god is like holding the special olympics without any judges: Everyone is retarded, there's a lot of running around and yelling, and absolutely nothing gets accomplished. And at the end of the day, you're all still retarded.
user unless you do it just to see what other people say haha
user since seanyfuckingG already argued the science argument,I thought I might get you into a bit of philosophy. So if you don't believe in evolution, which is evident from the videos you post on youtube, then you clearly believe in an immanent god. I, on the other hand, believe in a transcendent god, in other words, a god who does not meddle in the affairs of existence. Why? Because if god is infinite and a perfect being, then he cannot possibly be included within a body of finite existence.
user Therefore, god cannot be manifested in a finite form. It follows that He cannot be an immanent presence because then there would be no creator -- for a creator cannot be part of its creation. If god is not an immanent presence, then He cannot have orchestrated evolution, which would be a transgression with our previous conclusions. So, in closing, there is a god, but not the sort of god which religion professes...btw: I am not sure of myself...I just had to inspire some doubt in you.
user I've studied philosophy and have considered all you have just mentioned. It isn't anything new. If you truly want to discuss this further I invite you to continue in private messages where I am not limited to 500 characters. Trying to dicuss this topic in any meaningful way is greatly hindered by the limitations of this format. ps. you haven't inspired any doubt. ....at least not yet. cheers
user fair enough...apparently I underestimated you, for which I apologize. Actually I derived some of that from readings of Maimonides, with whom you are probably familiar given your user name (Jew Pride haha). All truly know is that if there is no doubt there is no knowledge. I went through an atheist phase, and I still am highly uncomfortable with organized religion, what with the anthropomorphism of a linguistically inconceivable deity, etc...so yeah feel free to discuss this further via pm
user An omnipotent being wouldn't give two shits about what one person did.

amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me i once was lost but now i'm found, was blind but now i see 'twas grace that taught my heart to feel 'twas grace my fears relieved how precious did that grace appear the hour i first believed
