user Chuck Berry has pizzazz and greate talent. He is a true performer woth heart and soul
user Gotta keep coming back to this one, I love it so much! He plays this in the film "Hail Hail Rock and Roll" too, that's where he put me onto it. Great the interlude with the keyboard man and the smooch he puts on his guitar, then he goes in to Jimmy Reed. My God, it doesn't get better than this.
user Chuck said he started out taking his band members with him on trips, but the guys would check into a hotel around 2 pm, get bored before the show that evening and start drinking. He said often they'd be plastered at showtime. He said he quit taking them on trips because he couldn't control them. His technique was to arrive, get himself a rent-a-car, then arrive at the venue only a few short minutes prior to his stage time and demand cash. No cash, no play. This kept him from getting stiffed.
user This gives me the chills every single time...just mind blowing
