userkansas has always been one of my all time favorite bands but what is with singers from this time period wearing basically work out clothing lol

What a great album opener. I remember buying the CD in March of 2004 and knew I was in for a treat with the album. Monolith is one of the Top 3 Kansas albums ever IMHO! Kerry Livgren, one of the most underrated guitarists in rock history. Him and Rich Williams were the greatest American guitar duo. Duane Allman and Dickey Betts had nothing on these two. Williams' basic work complimented with Livgren's flashier but excellent playing.

There are none! Kansas are unique! There are bands that are grouped together with Kansas as Prog Rock bands and many are excellent but none are remotely like Kansas!Many reasons-Livgrens composing,Walshs vocals, Robbies violin, Eharts playing style I could go on but you get the picture!

Flower Kings another great progressive music band. I saw Kansas in concert four times. One of my favorites forever
