No, it wasn't. If you listen carefully to the end of the song, the words are "Noel put the bodies down the wishing well..." It was some guy named Noel. I think there is some secret meaning, sort of like the Beatles did back in the 60's, with secret messages and meanings in their songs. I plan to do some research on the girl lead singer, Jani Lane, and see if maybe she was treated wrong by a guy named Noel.. I will keep this board posted on what I find. Stay tuned!

dude....... it was sheriff john brady and deputy hedge!

user
No, I don't know who put the bodies down the well-it appears to be a guy named Noel who doesn't appear until the very end of the song-It is so confusing....

user
probobly my most fav warrant song it's so amazing

user
One, Jani Lane had said in on numerous occasions. He hates that song and only wrote it at the insistence of the record label. And resents the fact he will be known as the Cherry Pie guy for the rest of his life.

user
the line is "Know who put the bodies in the wishing well."

user
I dont't understand it. Who was Noel? " Noel put the bodies down the wishing well". Was he the girls negro lover?

user
love the intro... shit.. love the whole song

user
whoever said "cherry pie" ruined warrant's career...... what planet are you on???????

Uncle Tom's Cabin
Warrant
Just for the record let's get the story straight
Me and Uncle Tom were fishin' it was gettin'
Pretty late
Out on a cypress limb above the wishin' well
Where they say is got no bottom say it take
You down to Hell.
Over in the bushes and off to the right
Come two men talking; in the pale moonlight
Sheriff John Brady and Deputiy Hedge
Haulin' two limp bodies down to the water's edge
I know a secret down at Uncle Tom's cabin oh yea
I know a secret that I just can't tell
They didn't see me and Tom in the tree
Neither one believin' what the other could see
Tossed in the bodies let 'em sink on down
To the bottom of the well
Where'd they never be bound
I know a secret down at Uncle Tom's cabin oh yea
I know a secret that I just can't tell
I know a secret down at Uncle Tom's cabin
Know a secret that I just can't tell
I know a secret down at Uncle Tom's cabin
Know who put the bodies in the wishin' well
Soon as they were gone me and Tom got down
Prayin' real hard that we wouldn't make a sound
Runnin; through the woods back to Uncle Tom' shack
Where the full moon shines throught the roof tile cracks
Oh my God Tom who re we gonna tell
The sheriff belongs in a prison cell
Keep your mouth shut that's what we're gonna do
Unless you wanna wind up in the wishin' well too.
I know a secret down at Uncle Tom's cabin
I know a secret that I just can't tell
I know a secret down at Uncle Tom's cabin
Know a secret that I just can't tell
I know a secret down at Uncle Tom's cabin
Know who put the bodies, know who put the bodies in the wishin' well
revious, ext, top ->
