as far as i know UB40 only makes covers on other songs. It's hard to belive that a couple of white guys came up with this song about how much they wanna' be in kingston town etc. So does enyone know if there is an original version of this song?

Totally agree with you, no one makes this kind of music nowadays, they used to make music with feeling, lyrics what has happened? Long live the good old days.

whats wrong with u peeps, so what if hes white, UB40 did alot for reggae music, they brought it to people in the UK, they made sure that the black guys who wrote the music got a fair deal and made the music accessible to people of all races. UB40 are one of the best if not the best group ever, race is nothing to do with it, Ali Campbell has a heavy voice
