I hear you man! I do believe in God, but I, like you am a huge elton john fan...and I don't consider myself straight...but I don't know why people make sexual references and jokes towards people who like his music...there are just too many bigots out there...

Yes...God is love. God loves everyone. None of us can actually speak for God. And anyone who thinks he can is wrong. God IS love. And he loves everyone. God is a wonderful God...so you can speak for God all you want...and say what you think God knows...Somethings just aren't meant for us to know. actually it was a prostitute. I puts things into perspective. Because by law, the young women who committed those 'sins' were to be stoned to death. But Jesus knelt down and forgave her sins. Not justifying it, but making a point that no man is without sin period. As humans we have a habit of measuring sin from bad to worst. If you read your Bible it says in Leviticus to kill the man who lies with another man. But u have to realize they also called masturbation abomination. Why?

The reason is because in those pre-scientific time, it was understood that male's semen held the entire life of the child, and the female simply carried it, like a storage area until it was ready to give birth. They had no idea the part that females played. So masturbation, as well as any other means of NOT population the Jewish people was sinful in their eyes. They were out numbered. And this 3000 holiness code was set in place to help strengthen them physically and spiritually.

You are exactly right. I don't think God would want you to kill anyone. God IS love, as the bible says...and it says you shall not kill...it's against the 10 commandments...but like you said...it also says, "kill the man who lies with another man"...I mean...it kind of contradicts itself. It confuses me sometimes, but oh well. I guess we should just take what we can get from it and be thankful for what we have :)
