This is the first song that actually got me into Elton John's music.

as i recall, the first one for me was "i guess thats why they call it the blues", and since then i love all his music, he is great.

Very strong video and one his most underrated songs- should have been a bigger hit. He was understandably surprised + disappointed it didn't do better.

Perhaps not his best song, but artistically and realistically this was his best video. Personaly, I love this song and video. I think it's his most fine example of the combination of the two.

Very much so! In glorious black & white! You can't beat that! I thought the images of the rats were great too. They are highly intelligent.

Not his strongest effort, but still a very good song, full of his trademark pathos. It is also a good show of his vocal ability.

Great song from Elton. I haven't heard all of his songs, but of those I've heart, this is the best. I also like "Crocodile Rock" :)
