I love old footage like this... in the 80s and before, they would let the performers do the performing... the cameras would move slow and hold for long shots so you could actually watch and see details. It seems like the current trend in concert footage is fast moving cams and short cuts so you hear the music, but don't see anything! nice post.

This was the "Golden Rose Montreux" TV Show in 1986 on the lake Geneva in Switzerland (my home country) and sure it ROCKS cause then years before "Deep Purple" write the famous song "smoke on the water" (read the Lyrics)
