yeah i get what you're saying completely. townshend is a lot better at composing those hard-edged blues rock riffs that have hooks, putting them into songs with hooks that you'd really want to listen to. he's got a ton of talent. i'm sorry if i came off as a tool in my other post there- i usually really hate playing the who's better at guitar game. but yeah all in all to each his own

I see where you're coming from, and I agree that Page is the more proficient guitarist, but what Townshend does with a guitar is, to me, just beyond any type of solo Page could make. Do you get what I'm saying? I wasn't saying that he owns him skill wise.

Its was always a bit ironic when The Who played this song because they were so powerful and strong on the stage, which is the complete opposite of what the lyrics are about.
