Well i liked Heart Shaped Gun 'sept for the words in the chorus. "hey boy your bleeding for nothing. Its hard to miss when your shooting a heart shaped gun. You'll slit your skin to find freedom. You'll kill yourself to find anything at all" ...idk...the first time i heard heart shaped gun it worried me a little bit..lol.

i'm a little sad as to why augustana changed to lyrics and title to something like this. to me, heart shaped gun seems more bittersweet and heartfelt.

after hearing the entire album and how this song fits with it, this "Hey Now" version is much better. fits the record better. hence the reason Dan changed the words.

i think this sounds great. i like it much better then the ep version.. augustana sounds even better live =) but im sad reasons isnt being released, not on can't love can't hurt at least.

gross. this used to be a southern-twinged love song and now it sounds like its trying to be a civil protest and they took out the entire heart shaped gun metaphor. bummer.

Hey Now is definitely "better" than Heart-Shaped Gun. I do miss some of the old lyrics, but the new version as a whole is better and I think will be more successful.
