I'm sorry, but you guys are missing the point, writing about guitar things that are not important. It's about the music, the pedal-steels, the whole band, the text, the musical arrangement, the sound, and most important the idea of the tune itself and how and when it is performed - and certainly not about jerking off on guitars. Stop measuring your dicks and rather listen to what he has to say.

There are tons of better guitar players than Eric Clapton who aren't famous. I know several in my personal life. You don't have to be great to be famous. All I'm saying is that in my opinion, Eric Clapton is not as amazing as so many think he is.

True. I know many guitarists that are better then him as well. At first, it sounded like you some little kid who thought he knew it all... I see where you're coming from though. My apologies. I still respect Clapton as a guitar player, however... BUT, I do not worship him as others do.

I wasn't trying to sound like a know it all. I'm only 18, but I've been involved with music for 10 years. I was just trying to get my point across that he isn't as great as he's cracked up to be. He's damn good and I respect him too, but he just isn't what everyone seems to think he is.

Clapton puts a lot of emotion into his songs though, that's what sets him apart from so many others in my opinion. He can make you "feel" a song like not many people can..
