Forgot to include this: let's hope their new album finds the courage to return to the raw and sonically daring landscapes of Actung Baby and Pop. In the lead up to both of their latest albums, Bono promised that The Edge would be unleashed. It never happened. A return to unique, idiosyncratic sounds...Please!

By far my favorite song off of Pop. I'm much more into their pre-Achtung Baby material, but I could never get sick of this song.

Don't know what it is about this song, I love the lyrics but I'm not totally in love with any version. The execution never seemed right from the album recording to this one. It's dark and gloomy but i feel like the music and production should've been more anthematic and soaring like "Acrobat."

It's perfect...trust me. It's haunting, elegiac, brooding, angry. It's speaking specifically to Ireland and the Irish. It's a meditation on Irish mute acceptance of violence committed in their name but without their approval. It's saying STOP.
