the original is much better. nice try mariah, but not digging those shakey tones. sounds too much like mariah's drowning into her own wealth. i was never a fan of hers, but good for her for making it this far.

I'm not really a fan of her. I think she should stay in one key while she sings instead of bouncing around all the time. It sounds really bad...

Umm, 1st, Journey was not a one hit wonder. They had many hits beside this one song who I agree Maraih did a good version of. However, you have to understand that they are two type of vocal styles and someone who perhaps grew up in the era when Journey was popular might like Journey's version better than this one. It's wrong to belitte other types and styles of music that is not of an R&B style.

its bad to sing someone elses song but she does sing it good and the reason she sings this song is because she looks up to someone such as steve perry
