When I first heard this I was pregnant with my daughter. I was blown away, because I just knew that is exactly how I would feel when she was born. It still is "her" song. I can't even think of Mariah singing this to a guy. The love of a mother to a child to me is expressed very well in this song.

middle of the road. Prime example is her Musix Box album. From the songs to the vocals is was a beautiful album but safe. She never wandered to far into any genre of music such as soul or r&b and stayed in the middle (pop).MOR is a term critics used to describe Whitney, Mariah, and Celine back in the 90's.

Sexuality isn't something that we should be ashamed of. You sound like someone who wouldn't sign the consent form for your child to watch the sex ed tape in class. Not that a song should be a reference but that's when parents need to step in and educate their children right from wrong. You should embrace your sexuality while knowing that there is a huge responsibility that comes along with it if managed inappropriately.

Part 1-Multi layered as in branching out from the typical. Her work sexual references are tame in comparison to what's out there. Have you heard of the song Lollipop? Pornography-obscene writings, drawings, photographs, or the like. Key word obscene. If "Touch My Body" is obscene to you then you must not get out of your house much. I don't think it's an amazing song and I actually think some of the lyrics are silly but you made it sound as if the Devil himself wrote it.

Multi layered as in venturing to different areas, you can't say songs like The Roof, Outside, Fly Like A Bird, Can't Take That Away, Reflections, There's Got To Be A Way aren't risks and show that she can step outside the norm. You sound like the critics that only hear her singles but never listen to the albums cuts. Have your heard "I Wish You Well" from her current album? Your holding these celebrites up as if they are supposed to be examples of morality when they obviously are not.

Parting advice: be different, don't conform to society, think for yourself and don't allow yourself to be "dummied down" by anyone or group who treat you as if you're merely a simpleton who can't comprehend anything deeper than base animal instinct. I'm sure you're more intellectual than that.

Parting advice-know yourself and remember that you shouldn't hang on to every word sang on the radio. It's not real, to some, it's entertainment, to other's it's trash. Remember to not take life so seriously, being jaded isn't a good thing and a smile will help you live longer. Remember not to be so judgemental as you are not perfect yourself. Remember that anti-pop is a trend in itself and you still following the norms of another social class, I'm sure you've figured that out. I wish u well
