john mayer is actually a whole lot better guitarist than everyone thinks he is... because he got a bad rep when he started music but now his trio reminds me a little of hendrix...

Who thinks he is bad? Never heard that. Most guitarists I know praise him for his feeling, technique and tone. However, he seems to be having some slight problems with this riff, for some reason.
