An interesting version of my favorite song. Even so, I still find the `86 version the best one I`ve heard so far. :)

I love the Police and Sting is a great musician, but he is also one of the most pretentious and out-of-touch men on the planet.

user
What a wonderful performance he gave that evening in Tuscany, despite the tragic events of that day, which Sting was evidently feeling the pain of. If Sting did not want to be there, but home instead, holding close his wife and children, I would not have blamed the man one bit.

I recommend everyone to buy this DVD. It's called All the Time and features a whole bunch of adorable material both on stage and behind the scenes.

This version is perfect!

I love that cello part at the beginning

What a beautiful venue for a concert--life is good when you're Sting, or when you're listening to his music

user
Sting não perde o charme. É incrível ouvir sua voz

Lyrics:
Young teacher, the subject
Of schoolgirl fantasy
She wants him so badly
Knows what she wants to be
Inside her there's longing
This girl's an open page
Book marking - she's so close now
This girl is half his age

Don't stand, don't stand so
Don't stand so close to me

Her friends are so jealous
You know how bad girls get
Sometimes it's not so easy
To be the teacher's pet
Temptation, frustration
So bad it makes him cry
Wet bus stop, she's waiting
His car is warm and dry

Don't stand, don't stand so
Don't stand so close to me

Loose talk in the classroom
To hurt they try and try
Strong words in the staffroom
The accusations fly
It's no use, he sees her
He starts to shake and cough
Just like the old man in
That book by Nabakov

Don't stand, don't stand so
Don't stand so close to me

Don't stand, don't stand so
Don't stand so close to me
